Migrate from Poe
Poe has no export, so this is a rebuild, not an import: what to save by hand, what to recreate, and what stays behind.
What moves
| Poe | In idapt | How |
|---|---|---|
| Conversation history (bulk) | No import pathPoe offers no data export or export API, so there is nothing for an importer to read. | No equivalent |
| Conversations you still need | Drive files, copied by handPaste the threads that matter into Drive; any model can read them as context from there. | Manual |
| Bots you built (prompts, personas) | Agents with instructions and filesCopy each bot's prompt into a new agent; knowledge files upload to Drive. | Manual |
| The models behind Poe's bots | The same providers' models, picked directly in the catalogNothing to move: GPT, Claude, Gemini, and the other majors are first-class models here. | Automatic |

How to migrate
- 1
Save the conversations that matter
Poe has no export, so triage by hand: copy the threads you still reference into Drive files (one per topic) so they stay searchable and readable by any model.
- 2
Recreate your bots as agents
An agent is instructions plus a model plus tools. Paste each bot's prompt into a new agent, pick any of 200+ models, and attach the Drive folders it should know.
- 3
Pick models directly
The models Poe wraps in bots are direct picks here: choose one per message, or run the same prompt across several in parallel tabs and keep the best answer.
FAQ
Why is there no Poe importer?
Poe has no export API or data download, so there is nothing to import from. The universal chat-JSON importer covers apps that export; Poe is not currently one of them.
What happens to my Poe points?
They stay with Poe; spend them down before you cancel. idapt bills plans and usage in plain dollars, with the cost of a message shown before you send it.
