Referral badges and boosted limits

Found this helpful? Share it:

Referrals raise your plan limits. The badge on your Referrals page tracks how far you have climbed.

The two rungs

Plus badge at 1 referral, multiplying your plan limits by 1.5x. Star badge at 3 referrals, multiplying them by 2x.

A referral counts towards a rung once it is attached and the account is subscribed. The count is the number of referrals you hold, so it never falls because a single referred account stopped paying, and a badge you have earned is never taken away. Where a referral is found to be fraudulent, the badge it earned is withdrawn.

What the multiplier changes

The multiplier applies to your plan's limits: message and run limits, storage, and the other caps shown in your plan. Counts are rounded up, so a limit of 3 becomes 5 at the Plus rung and 6 at Star, and 1 GB of storage becomes 1.5 GB and then 2 GB.

It applies to whichever plan you are on, free or paid, and it follows the badge: it is a limit increase, not a discount, and it never changes what you are charged.

Where you see it

Your badge and the multiplier in force are shown on the Referrals page, and the raised limits appear wherever your plan limits do, including your plan's usage page.
