Is my data used to train AI models?

Never by idapt. We don't train AI models on your content and we never sell it: idapt makes money from subscriptions and usage credits, nothing else. Prompts are sent to AI providers over their business APIs, which the major providers don't train on. Every provider's data policy is labeled in the product with the sentence from its own terms behind the label, and you can restrict routing to verified no-training providers across every modality, or run models on your own computer.

Where is my data stored?

The application, the database, and your files run in the United States (Ashburn, Virginia), with TLS encryption in transit and encryption at rest. Email and product analytics are processed in the EU. idapt is a French company, so the GDPR protects your data wherever it is processed, and transfers outside the EEA rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Who can see my conversations?

Only you and the people you explicitly share a chat with. Conversations are sent to AI providers solely to generate responses; most retain API traffic briefly for abuse monitoring (typically up to 30 days), many retain nothing at all. Staff access is strictly limited.

Can I keep my data away from specific AI providers?

Yes. Block any provider in AI Gateway, or require verified no-training providers; providers whose policy can't be verified are excluded. You can also bring your own API keys, or run open models locally on your own computer.

Do local models keep my data on my computer?

Accepted Answer

The model runs on your computer, so no third-party AI provider ever sees your prompts or replies. Your workspace still lives in idapt: messages pass through our servers to reach your computer, and chats are stored in your account so they sync across devices, never used for training and never sold.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. Delete chats and files anytime; deleted data is kept at most 30 days for abuse detection, then permanently removed. You can delete your whole account in Settings → Privacy, and exercise any GDPR right by emailing support@idapt.app.

We offer Free (try without signup), Pro ($99/mo), and Max ($499/mo) subscription plans. Subscribers can add pay-as-you-go credits for usage beyond their plan's included allowance. Free includes a small daily usage allowance you can spend on everyday models; frontier models need a subscription.

Free comes with one daily usage allowance (a single shared budget, not separate per-feature quotas) that starts when you send your first message and resets 24 hours later. Everyday models draw from it (the cheapest run at full context, standard ones with shorter context); frontier models need a subscription. When the allowance runs out you can subscribe to keep going, or come back tomorrow. Paid plans include a larger allowance of included usage that refreshes on rolling 5-hour and weekly windows, plus optional pay-as-you-go credits beyond it, and you can upgrade for more capacity.

200+ models from every major provider: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Llama, Mistral, Qwen, and more. Switch between models mid-conversation or let the auto-router pick the best one for each task.
