Talking to idapt with your voice

You do not have to type. Dictate a message, hold a full spoken conversation, and have any reply read back to you 🎙️
Press Cmd+Dor click the microphone in the composer to start dictation. A timer shows while you talk. When you stop, your speech is transcribed and dropped into the message box at the cursor, so you can edit anything that came out wrong and send when you are ready.
Press Cmd+Dagain to stop recording. Dictation just fills the message box, so it works exactly like typing: you still control when the message goes.
Dictation is great for long, rambly thoughts. Say everything out loud, then tidy the text before you send it.
If nothing appears, idapt tells you why: no speech was picked up, the microphone was blocked, or your included usage ran out. Nothing is charged for a recording that produced no words.
Voice mode turns a chat into a hands-free, back-and-forth conversation. Start it from the voice control in the composer, then just talk: idapt listens, notices when you have finished speaking, and answers out loud.
A spoken answer covers the assistant's whole turn, including any tools it runs along the way, and idapt goes back to listening when the turn is done. To cut in, just start talking: it stops speaking and picks up what you say next.
