Referrals and rewards: what you earn, and what it costs you

Sharing idapt earns you credits and, once you have a few referrals, commission. Everything about it lives on one page: open Referrals in the sidebar, or press / and search for it.
They get $20 in usage credits when they start their first paid plan. The bonus lands with their first payment, spends like any other credit, and applies once per billing account, whatever plan they choose.
They can also see and remove the referral at any time, from the banner that appears when they arrive or from Settings → Privacy.
A credit gift when the account you referred first subscribes ($50 for Pro, $200 for Max), and a second gift on their first upgrade. Two gifts at most, for the life of the account, and only while you are on a paid plan yourself.
Commission on their subscription payments: 25% of each payment, rising to 30% once you have ten referred subscriptions. Commission accrues from their first payment, vests for 14 days, and becomes payable once your available balance reaches $250. Credits and top-ups earn no commission.

A referral attaches to the first new subscription an account starts after arriving with your code. An account that was already subscribed when it followed your link is not a referral, and neither are you: your own code is refused.
An account holds one referral. If someone removes it, the referral stops earning from that moment and everything already vested stays theirs. A referral cannot be moved to another referrer.
If a payment is refunded, the commission it produced is reversed with it and any referral credit that has not been spent is void. You are never charged for a referred account, and money already paid out to you is not recovered, unless the referral itself was fraudulent.
You can stop sharing at any time: remove your code from the sidebar, or remove a referral from Settings → Privacy. Removing a referral stops future commission and leaves what you already earned alone.
We may change the rates, the badge thresholds, the vesting period and the payout minimum, and we may end the programme, on reasonable notice. Changes are never retroactive to commission that has already vested. The full terms are in the Referrals and referral codes section of our Terms of Service.
