- Create an IAM user or role with only the S3 permissions you need.
- Store the SECRET access key as the credential value, and put the access key ID in the injection settings.
- Set the region to match your bucket, or requests are redirected and signatures fail.

Common endpoints
| list buckets | GET / |
| list objects | GET /{bucket}?list-type=2 |
| get an object | GET /{bucket}/{key} |
| put an object | PUT /{bucket}/{key} |
Worth knowing
- Responses are XML, not JSON. Parse accordingly.
- The region must match the bucket or S3 answers 301 with a PermanentRedirect and the signature is invalid.
- Virtual-hosted style ({bucket}.s3.{region}.amazonaws.com) is preferred; path style is deprecated for new buckets.
