Common endpoints

who am IGET /me
read a fileGET /files/{key}?depth=2
read specific nodesGET /files/{key}/nodes?ids={id}
export imagesGET /images/{key}?ids={id}&format=png
list commentsGET /files/{key}/comments

Worth knowing

  • The key header is X-Figma-Token when using a personal access token; OAuth uses Bearer instead.
  • File keys come from the URL: figma.com/file/{KEY}/....
  • A whole-file fetch is enormous. Use `?depth=` or the /nodes endpoint to avoid pulling megabytes into context.
