Frequently asked
What does legacy mean on idapt?
A legacy model has been superseded by a newer equivalent, usually at the same price from the same author. Legacy models are hidden by default in pickers and shown behind a toggle.
Can I still use a legacy model?
Yes. Legacy models keep working unless they carry a hard availability notice; only notice-flagged models stop accepting requests.
How do I move a chat to the successor?
Open the chat's model picker and select the successor. Message history stays; only new replies use the new model. Each legacy model's page names its replacements.
Where do the reasons come from?
Each supersession carries a hand-written note in the catalog stating why the successor is the better default, for example a lower price at the same coding score.
