Why does my endpoint fail here but work with curl?

Browsers enforce CORS on cross-origin requests; terminals do not. If your endpoint does not send CORS headers, the tester shows the equivalent curl command to run instead.

How this is computed

The request goes straight from your browser to the endpoint you enter: nothing is proxied, logged, or stored, and your key lives only in this tab's memory. Browsers require CORS headers for cross-origin calls, so endpoints without them fail here even when they work from a terminal; the tester detects that case and generates the matching curl command instead.
