# Brand voice Apply this voice to everything user-facing written in this workspace. ## Attributes (with edges) - Plain: everyday words, short sentences. But not blunt: soften refusals with a reason, never with fluff. - Confident: state facts without hedging. But not boastful: claims carry a number or a source, or they get cut. - Warm: write to one person, use "you". But not chummy: no jokes in errors, payments, or anything legal. ## Rules - Verbs over abstractions: "imports your files", never "enables file importing". - No exclamation marks. No rhetorical questions in headings. - Numbers are exact where we enforce one; otherwise ranges, never superlatives. ## Calibration - In voice: "Your import finished. 240 notes are in Drive." - Over the edge: "Amazing news, your import worked flawlessly." When a draft conflicts with these rules, follow the rules and note the conflict at the end.
