What Shipped in idapt: July 2026
idapt Team
The first issue of a monthly series: everything user-visible that shipped in July 2026, in one post. This page's category is also the changelog.
Headlines
- Skills went GA: reusable instruction bundles every agent in a workspace discovers automatically.
- Tasks grew boards and views: drag-and-drop Kanban, URL-encoded filters, bulk actions, and the cross-list My Tasks page.
- Chat got faster: a performance pass across sending, streaming, and rendering makes long conversations noticeably snappier.
- Cloud computers got a lifecycle redesign: provisioning is async and reconciled (no more limbo states), stopping is two-tier, and every machine's history is clearer. Your fleet now lives at My Computers, with team machines under the workspace.
New models
The catalog crossed 250 models this month. OpenAI's GPT-5.6 family (Sol, Terra, Luna) and xAI's Grok 4.5 flagship landed within days of their releases; the models roundup has the details.
New on the site
- Best-of roundups: data-backed picks for coding, writing, research, images, video, and more, with methodology stated and prices rendered live.
- Learn: plain definitions of the concepts behind AI work, from context windows to agent memory.
- Ten new comparisons on /vs, including GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Le Chat, and Kagi Assistant.
- A rebuilt landing page whose numbers are fed live from the product.
Fixes worth knowing
- A class of white-screen chunk-loading errors after deploys is gone (static assets now serve same-origin with automatic recovery).
- Model output pages and social cards render faster and never depend on third-party fetches.
Next issue in August. For per-feature depth, the linked posts above carry the details, and the product-updates category archives every issue.
