Manage the basics of your account: update your email, change your password, or delete your account entirely. Your email and password both live under Settings → Security⚙️
Open Settings → Security and find Email
Enter your new address and choose Continue
Enter the code sent to your current email to confirm it is you
Enter the code sent to your new email to verify it
Changing your email takes two codes: one to your current address to prove it is you, then one to the new address to prove you own it. There is no link to click. Your old email stops working for sign-in once the change is confirmed.
Open Settings → Security and find Password
Choose Change password
Enter the code sent to your email to confirm it is you
Enter and confirm your new password
Use a strong, unique password. A mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols works best. For an extra layer, add two-factor authentication or a passkey. See Secure your account.
Two-factor authentication, passkeys, active sessions, and trusted devices all live under Settings → Security. See Secure your account to set them up.
Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. Your content is removed and your personal data is anonymized, and none of it can be recovered.
Open Settings → Privacy
Choose Delete account and read the confirmation carefully
Type delete my account to confirm
For what happens to your data afterward and how long anything is kept, see Your data and privacy.
Click your avatar in the sidebar and choose Sign out. This ends your session on this device only. Your chats and files are saved, so you can sign back in anytime to pick up where you left off.
Signing out here does not sign out your other devices. To end a session somewhere else, revoke it from Settings → Security. See Secure your account.
