Your profile is how you appear across idapt, in shares, comments, and workspace member lists. Your public page stays private until you choose to turn it on 👤
A new profile is private. Your public page at /profile/your-username shows a not-found page to visitors until you make it public, and nothing about you is listed publicly in the meantime.
Go to Settings → Profile
Turn on Public profile to publish your page, or leave it off to keep it private
Your email, chats, files, and other private resources are never shown on your public page, whether it is public or not.
When your page is public, visitors can see:
Your display name
Your avatar
The date you joined idapt
Your subscription tier
Change your display name in Settings → Profile. Changes save automatically and refresh everywhere your identity shows up: chat mentions, comments, workspace members, and shared resources.
Your username is the your-username part of your public URL. It must be unique, 3 to 30 characters, and use only lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens, starting with a letter.
You can change your username once per day. Your old username stays reserved and redirects to the new one, so links people already have keep working and nobody else can claim it.
Click your avatar in Settings → Profile to replace it. Upload a JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF up to 10 MB. idapt resizes it to 400 by 400 pixels, so square images look best.
