Every idapt account bills through a team. Your plan, your Credit balance, your usage, and your invoices all belong to it, and one plan can cover everyone you add ๐ข
You get a team the moment you sign up, and it holds the money side of your account. There is no separate personal billing account: when you subscribe, add credits, or download an invoice, it belongs to that team.
Your own billing stays where you expect it. Open Credits from the account menu, or go to /credits and /usage. Once you belong to more than one team, those pages get a scope switcher, and your own team is listed first under its name, like Alex's Team.
To put several people on one bill, create a team on the Teams page, then open its Billing tab and subscribe there. Every workspace the team owns bills to that subscription, and members work without needing plans of their own. See Teams for creating and running the team itself.
The plan comes with a pooled included-usage allowance that every member draws from, so usage is counted once for the whole team rather than person by person.
Seats are set by the plan, not bought one at a time, and there is no price per person. The number below is the whole roster, counting you:
Every role takes a seat, guests included. When the roster is full, upgrade the team's plan to add more people, or remove someone first. Enterprise is sold by contract for larger rosters and custom terms.
Team roles decide who can do what:
Members can still see which plan the team is on. Payment methods, credits, invoices, and spend limits are visible only to the three roles above, and the Billing tab names them so you know who to ask.
A team has its own Credit balance. While its plan is active, anyone with billing rights can add credits from the team's Billing tab, and set a Monthly budget under Spend controls to cap what the whole team can spend in a month. Leave the budget blank for no limit.
Individual workspaces can be capped too. See Who pays for a workspace.
Every workspace a team owns is billed to that team. You can create a workspace directly under the team from its Workspaces tab, or move an existing one in with Move workspace.
Everyone in a chat sees who a message is billed to, so it is always clear which team paid for a reply.
