Made a mistake? Deleted items go to trash first, giving you time to recover them before anything is permanently removed 🗑️

How trash works

When you delete something it moves to trash instead of being removed right away. Trash is per-workspace, so each workspace keeps its own, and in a shared workspace every member sees the same trash. Think of it as a safety net with a window to change your mind.

What goes to trash

Files, folders, chats, and agents are soft-deleted when you remove them.

They stay in trash until you delete them for good or the retention window ends.

Deleting a folder moves everything inside it, files and subfolders alike, to trash as well.

Computers are not trashable. Deleting a computer removes it directly rather than sending it to trash. See Computers.

Find your trash

Open a workspace and go to its Trash view. Tabs separate what you deleted: Files, Chats, and Agents

. Each item is listed with its original name and the date you deleted it.

Restore an item

Select a trashed item and click Restore. It goes back to its original parent if that parent still exists. If the original folder is gone, the item is restored to the workspace root instead. Nothing is recreated for it, so you may need to move a restored item back into place.

Delete permanently

To reclaim space sooner, select an item in trash and choose Delete permanently. Otherwise, trashed items are purged automatically 30 days after you delete them, across files, chats, and agents alike.

Permanent deletion cannot be undone. Once an item is purged or you delete it permanently, it is gone for good, so restore anything you want to keep before the 30 days are up.
