Keep all your documents, images, and data organized in your Drive, right inside your workspaces. Upload files, create folders, pin favorites, and search across everything 📁
Drag and drop files anywhere in your Drive to upload them, or click the upload button to browse your computer. Drop several files at once and they all upload in parallel.
Upload straight into a folder by dragging files onto its icon.
Organize your Drive into a hierarchy that makes sense for each workspace. Create folders to group related documents together.
Right-click in your Drive and select New Folder, or click the + button.
Type a name for your folder.
Press Enter to create it.
Drag files to move them between folders, just like your desktop file manager. To rename a file or folder, right-click it, select Rename, type the new name, and press Enter.
Mark your most-used files as favorites by pinning them. Right-click a file and select Pin, and it rises to the top of your Drive for quick access. Unpin the same way when you no longer need it there.
Find files by searching across your Drive. Search looks at both file names and content, so you can find a document even when you do not remember its exact name.
Files larger than 1 MB are indexed by filename only. Search still finds them by name, but reads inside smaller files for their contents.
Drive search covers the current workspace. To search across every workspace at once, use the command palette. See Search and shortcuts.
How much you can store in your Drive depends on your plan:
Free: 1 GB
Pro: 500 GB
Max: 2 TB
Storage up to your cap is included with your plan and is never metered. When you reach the cap, free up space or upgrade for more room. See Plans, allowances, and credits.
Individual limits are generous: a single file can be up to 500 GB, a folder holds up to 500,000 items, and a workspace up to 5 million.
Trashed files still count toward your storage until they are purged. Roll back an edit instead of keeping copies with file versions, and clear space from Trash.
