Annual plans: bonus credits and the refund rule

Pro and Max are also sold by the year. An annual plan is billed once, covers twelve months, and adds bonus credits and a founder onboarding session on top of everything the monthly plan includes. It renews annually until you cancel ๐
Annual billing charges the full list price for a year, once:
Pro: $2,400 a year.
Max: $12,000 a year.
The annual price is set at roughly twelve monthly payments, so the month is never cheaper than paying monthly. What an annual plan adds is the bonus credits and the founder onboarding session, not a lower monthly price. Prices are shown before tax, and applicable tax is added at checkout.
Because the annual price is roughly twelve monthly payments, the value is the bonus rather than a discount. The plan cards spell out the arithmetic: twelve months of the plan at the monthly price, plus the bonus credits, plus founder onboarding, for the annual price.
Every annual plan comes with bonus credits, granted with the payment that starts the year and granted again with every renewal:
Pro: $400 in credits.
Max: $2,000 in credits.
Bonus credits are ordinary credits on your balance. They spend on anything in the catalog, and they never expire.
Monthly plans include no bonus. If your first subscription is an annual one, you get both the bonus and the first-month credits-back ($100 on Pro, $495 on Max): the two stack. See Your first month back in credits.
An annual plan also includes a founder onboarding session, booked from the screen you land on after checkout: up to one hour on Pro, up to four hours on Max. It is a one-to-one session to get your workspace set up.
An annual plan renews automatically every year. Thirty days before each renewal, idapt emails you a reminder with the amount and the date, and a one-click link to cancel if you would rather not renew. Cancelling stops the renewal, and you keep the plan until the end of the year you already paid for.
Within 14 days of the first charge, an annual plan is refundable in full, like any subscription. See Invoices, taxes, and refunds.
After that window, a refund is calculated on a prorata basis:
refund = the price you paid - (whole months used ร the plan's monthly list price) - credits you spent at face value, including bonus credits you spent
Two consequences follow. First, the unused months are returned at the plan's monthly list price, not at a twelfth of the annual price. The two figures are close, because the annual price is roughly twelve monthly payments, but the monthly price is the basis. Second, any unspent bonus credits are voided when the refund is processed, exactly as unspent first-month credits are: you keep the value of what you already spent, and the bonus you have not spent returns to idapt.
Months are counted in whole months from the start of the current annual period, and a partial month counts as a whole one. A refund also ends the subscription.
