Your first month back in credits

Found this helpful? Share it:

Subscribe to Pro and your first month comes back as $100 in credits. Subscribe to Max and $495 comes back. You pay the full plan price on the day you subscribe, and the credits land on your balance with that first payment. There is no trial and no $0 period. This applies whether you subscribe monthly or annually, and an annual plan also grants its own bonus credits, so a first annual purchase earns both. See Annual plans: bonus credits and the refund rule.

How the credits back work

The full list price is charged at checkout, and the credits-back amount is granted with the first payment of your first subscription. It is a grant rather than a discount: the plan price stands as posted, and the credits are ordinary balance you spend at the prices shown in the app.

The grant applies once per billing account, on the first subscription payment that account ever makes. Moving from Pro to Max later does not earn a second one.

What the credits are

They are normal credits on your balance. They never expire, the 5% top-up fee does not apply to them (that fee is charged on top-ups only), and they spend on anything in the catalog: model calls, cloud computers, agents.

To see exactly what each plan includes, see Plans, credits, and the welcome credit.

Refunds

Spent money is spent; unspent money is always yours. Unspent paid credits are refundable on request, any time, by contacting support.

A subscription is refundable in full within 14 days of its first charge; usage you already consumed is not refundable. The first-month credits-back is a promotional grant, so refunding the subscription reverses it: unspent grant credits are voided with the refund, and anything you already spent stays spent. On an annual plan, a refund after the 14-day window is prorated; see Annual plans: bonus credits and the refund rule.

  1. Contact support from the account that made the purchase.

  2. We refund the unspent balance, or the subscription charge within 14 days, as the case may be.

  3. Anything you already spent stays spent.

Eligibility

One grant per billing account, on the first subscription payment the account makes. Billing belongs to your team account, so the grant is per billing account rather than per person. See Team billing.
