idapt is a sidebar on the left, one main view in the middle, and your conversations in a dock that follows you around. Learn these four pieces and you can reach anything in a click or two 🖥️
The sidebar runs down the left. At the top is a nav rail with the places you visit most: Home, Search, Chats, Agents, Drive, Tasks, and Computers.
A Developer group stays folded until you open it, and a More menu holds everything that does not fit. Home adds collapsible sections for your recent agents, workspaces, pinned items, and recent chats.
Press Cmd+Bto hide or show the sidebar, and drag its edge to resize it.
idapt always works inside one workspace at a time, your current workspace. The chats, files, agents, and tasks you see all belong to it.
The current-workspace selector sits at the bottom of the sidebar, next to your account menu. Click it to switch to another workspace, and the whole app re-scopes to what that workspace holds. Your default workspace, named after you, comes first. See Workspaces.
Clicking a workspace switches your scope to it. To open its dashboard instead, use Open in the workspace card menu.
The center of the screen is the viewport. It shows whatever you opened: a Drive folder, an agent, a task board, or a settings page. A breadcrumb across the top tells you where you are and lets you step back up a level.
One thing opens here at a time, so the view stays uncluttered as you move around.
Conversations do not take over the viewport. They open in a dock that floats above it, so you can keep a file or a task board in sight while you talk.
Maximize the dock to fill the screen, or minimize it to a corner. It stays put as you navigate, and every conversation is saved to your chats. See Your first conversation.
Press Cmd+Kto open the command palette and search across your chats, files, agents, tasks, and more. Press Cmd+Shift+Kfor command mode, which runs actions instead of searching.

On a small screen the sidebar gives way to a bar across the bottom with five slots: Home, Search, New chat, Chats, and You. Everything else lives one tap deeper, and the chat dock fills the screen.
