Draw a publication chart

One clear figure with a real point, not a default chart.

Fill it in

What to plot.

What the reader should see immediately.

Where it will appear.

Your prompt

Draw one chart for A paper.
The point: [the point]

Build the chart around that point and cut everything that does not serve it. A
default chart shows the data; a good figure makes an argument, and the difference
is mostly what was removed.

Annotate on the chart. A reader should not have to look at a legend, then back at
a line, then back at the legend. Label the series where it ends.

Start the axis at zero unless there is a stated reason not to, and if there is,
say it on the chart. A truncated axis is the most common way a clean dataset
tells a lie.

Export at the right size and resolution for where it goes, with readable type at
that size rather than at 200%.
Use Draw a publication chartOpens with everything above already filled in.

Why this works

A default chart shows the data; a figure makes an argument, and the difference is mostly what was removed. This builds around your stated point, labels series on the chart rather than in a legend, and says on the chart when an axis does not start at zero.
