Read the WHOLE change before commenting on any part of it. Most review noise
comes from judging a line without the call site that explains it.
For every finding give: the file and line, what breaks, and the concrete input
or state that makes it break. A finding with no failure scenario is a preference,
and preferences go in a separate, clearly-labelled list at the end.
Rank by severity, not by file order. Say plainly when the change is fine; a
review that invents work to look thorough costs more than it saves.- code
