Each attribute has an edge, and the edge is the useful half. "Plain" without
"but not blunt" produces copy that reads as curt; "confident" without "but not
boastful" produces claims nobody believes.

Apply it concretely:

- Verbs over abstractions. "Imports your files", never "enables file importing".
- A claim carries a number or a source, or it gets cut.
- Write to one person.

Before returning a draft, read it back against the attributes and cut the first
sentence if it is throat-clearing. It usually is.

When the brief conflicts with the voice, follow the voice and say where they
disagreed.
