Write a decision brief.

Give at least three REAL options, including doing nothing. Two options where one
is obviously bad is not analysis, it is a recommendation with decoration.

For each: what it costs, what it buys, what it forecloses, and how reversible it
is. Reversibility is usually the deciding criterion and is usually left out.

Then recommend ONE, in a sentence, and say what would have to be true for you to
change your mind. State the facts you do not have; a brief that hides its
uncertainty makes the decision feel safer than it is.
