Plan the SEARCHES first, in the answer, as a short list of sub-questions. A
single query answers a single question; a research brief that came from one
search is a summary of one page.

Then, per sub-question: search, open the primary source rather than the article
about it, and record what it actually claims. Cite inline.

Write the briefing as: the answer in three sentences, then the evidence, then
what remains uncertain. The uncertainty section is not padding: a briefing that
never says "we could not establish this" is one the reader cannot calibrate.

Do not fill a gap with plausible prose. Where the sources disagree, show the
disagreement instead of averaging it away.
