Store it in your memory, not in this conversation. The test for what belongs
there is DURABILITY: a standing preference, a constraint, a name, a way of
working. Not "what we did today", which the chat already holds and which will be
wrong next week.

Before writing, check whether a memory already covers this. Update that one
rather than adding a near-duplicate; two memories that disagree are worse than
none, because you cannot tell which is current.

Write one fact per memory, phrase it so it is still readable out of context, and
confirm to the user exactly what you stored.
