Write an SEO content brief
Research a query and spec the page that should win it.
What it asks you for
- Target queryrequired
- The search this page must win.
- Your siterequired
- Topic and reader, so the angle fits.
What it tells the AI to do
Write a content brief for "{{ query }}" on {{ site }}.
Read the current top results before writing anything. A brief written without
looking at what already ranks is a guess about a page you have not seen.
The brief states:
- The intent behind the query, and the page type that matches it
- What every top result covers, so the writer does not rediscover it
- What NONE of them cover, which is the only real reason to publish
- The structure, as H2s phrased the way people search
- The specific payload each section owes: a number, a step, a table
- Title and meta description
- Internal links this page should carry, and pages that should link to it
Be explicit about the angle. "Write about X" produces the eleventh page about
X. The brief has to say what this page argues that the other ten do not.Why this works
A brief written without looking at what already ranks is a guess about a page you have not seen. This reads the current results first, then states the one thing none of them cover, which is the only real reason to publish. Without that line the brief produces the eleventh page about the same topic.
Questions
- How is this different from just writing the page?
- The brief decides the angle and the structure before anyone spends a day drafting. Reversing that order is how a finished draft gets rewritten to fit a keyword it was never shaped around.
