Tear down a landing page
What is costing conversions, then a rebuilt version.
Fill it in
What to review.
Not just a list of criticisms.
What to actually measure.
Your prompt
Tear down [the page]. Start from what the page is trying to get someone to do, then judge everything against that. A teardown that lists design opinions is worth nothing, because the page is not there to be liked. Read it as a first-time visitor with no context: does the headline say what this is and for whom, within two seconds, and is the next action obvious without scrolling? Most conversion problems are one of those two. Rebuild it. A criticism list gets read and filed; a working alternative gets tested. Suggest what to actually measure, and say which changes are big enough to be worth a test rather than just shipping.

Why this works
A teardown that lists design opinions is worth nothing, because the page is not there to be liked. This judges everything against the one action, then rebuilds it.
