Write a lifecycle flow

Welcome and recovery emails that each have a reason to exist.

Fill it in

What you sell and how you sound.

Which sequences.

Do not open with money off.

Your prompt

Write these flows: welcome, cart.

[the brand]

Every email needs a reason to exist beyond the schedule. A welcome series where
email two is "here are some more things about us" gets unsubscribes, because the
reader correctly identifies that nothing happened.

Welcome: set the expectation, deliver something useful immediately, then make one
ask. Abandoned cart: assume they got distracted rather than that they objected,
so the first one is a reminder and only a later one addresses a reason.

Do NOT open with a discount. Teaching people that abandoning a cart produces a
code trains exactly the behaviour you are trying to reverse, and it costs margin
on people who were coming back anyway.
Write subject lines that survive the inbox: specific, lowercase where the brand
allows, no exclamation marks.
Use Write a lifecycle flowOpens with everything above already filled in.

Why this works

A welcome email that says "here are some more things about us" gets unsubscribes, because the reader correctly identifies that nothing happened. Every email here has a reason beyond the schedule, and the discount is held back rather than teaching people that abandoning a cart produces a code.
