Prepare a PR launch
The release, the pitches and a media list that is actually relevant.
Fill it in
What is actually new, and why anyone outside would care.
Journalists who cover this specifically.
Different per outlet, three sentences each.
Your prompt
Prepare the launch. [the news] Find the actual story first. Almost no product launch is news, and a release written as though it is gets ignored by everyone who receives it. The story is usually the reason it exists: a change in the market, a number nobody has published, or a customer with a real result. Build a list of journalists who cover THIS, with a piece each has written in the last few months. A list bought or scraped by outlet is why pitches get filtered. Write a different pitch per journalist, three sentences: why them, what the story is, and what you can give them. No attachments in the first email. Write the release in inverted pyramid, with a real quote and no adjectives.

Why this works
Almost no product launch is news, and a release written as though it is gets filtered by everyone who receives it. This finds the actual story first.
