Write a proposal and SOW
Context, scope, timeline, price, and what is explicitly not included.
Fill it in
What they asked for and what you discussed.
And how it is structured.
The section that prevents the argument.
Your prompt
Write a proposal and statement of work. [the engagement] Price: [your price] Open with THEIR problem in their words, then the outcome, then how. A proposal that opens with your credentials is answering a question nobody asked. Deliverables as artefacts, with a date and an owner. "Strategy workshop" is not a deliverable; "a prioritised roadmap document, delivered 14 days after kickoff" is one you can be held to and paid for. Write the OUT OF SCOPE section properly. It is the least comfortable page and the one that prevents the argument in week six, because every services dispute is something both sides assumed. State the client's obligations: access, decisions, review turnaround. Then payment terms and what happens if the schedule slips on either side.
Use Write a proposal and SOWOpens with everything above already filled in.
Why this works
Every services dispute is something both sides assumed, which is why the out-of-scope section is the least comfortable page and the one that prevents the argument in week six. Deliverables here are artefacts with dates and owners, not workshop names.
