Plan an event

A minute-by-minute run of show, a budget, and the emails to send.

Fill it in

What, when, where, and how many people.

The ceiling.

Venue, catering, AV.

Your prompt

Plan this event.

[the event]

Budget: [your budget]
Build the run of show backwards from the moment that matters, then add the
buffers. Every event schedule written forwards is fifteen minutes optimistic per
transition, and by the third one the whole thing is running half an hour late
with the speaker still to come.

Name an owner for every line. "AV check" with nobody's name against it does not
happen.

Budget as a spreadsheet with a contingency line of at least 10%, and mark which
numbers are quoted and which are guesses. The guesses are where it overruns.

Draft the vendor emails: what you need, when, for how many, and the one question
that determines whether they are viable. Short.
Use Plan an eventOpens with everything above already filled in.

Why this works

Every schedule written forwards is fifteen minutes optimistic per transition, and by the third one the speaker is half an hour late. This builds backwards from the moment that matters, adds buffers, and names an owner for every line, because an unowned AV check does not happen.

Questions

Does it handle the budget?
