Plan a trip

A day-by-day plan that accounts for how long things actually take.

Fill it in

The destination.

How long.

Pace, interests, and anything that rules things out.

Based on the weather and what you planned.

Your prompt

Plan 5 days in [your where].

[your who and what for]
Plan for real time, not map time. Two museums and a day trip is not a day; it is
an itinerary written by someone who has not walked between them. Assume things
open late, close for lunch, and take twice as long to reach as the route
suggests.

One anchor per half-day and a couple of nearby options around it, so a slow
morning does not collapse the plan. An itinerary that only works if everything
goes right is abandoned on day two.

Check opening days. The one thing everybody travels to see is shut on Mondays
somewhere, and finding that out on arrival is the whole trip's worst hour.

Add a packing list based on the season and what you planned.
Deliver a shareable page with the days, a location list and the checklist.
Use Plan a tripOpens with everything above already filled in.

Why this works

Most itineraries are written in map time: two museums and a day trip is not a day. This plans one anchor per half-day with options around it so a slow morning does not collapse the week, and it checks opening days, because the thing you travelled to see is shut on Mondays somewhere.
